Bradley Environmental has a UKAS Accredited laboratory within each office for Asbestos Testing, Asbestos Bulk Sampling and Analysis Service and the identification of samples for asbestos.

We have specialist training staff to analyse asbestos samples using polarised light microscopy as defined in the HSE document HSG248.

Our Asbestos Testing, Asbestos Bulk Sampling and Identification Facilities enable us to provide our clients with a rapid turnaround of results, whilst ensuring that their accuracy is not compromised.

It is also a legal requirement that laboratories used for Asbestos Testing are UKAS accredited.

It can often be necessary to conduct a Water Absorption Test on asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) to determine their exact nature. Harder and less absorbent ACMs are less likely to release fibres when disturbed and as a result may be removed with fewer control measures. This test has superseded the former Asbestos Density Test which was replaced in the new Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006.

In addition to our Asbestos Testing services, we can also come out to you and take any suspected asbestos samples on your behalf. This service can save you a lot of worry about how to handle, package and transport suspected asbestos materials and allows for a safe, rapid turnaround of your results.
