Asbestos Management Survey

A Management Survey is the standard survey that should be carried out for the continued management of asbestos in premises.

Click here to contact us today or contact your local office and one of our asbestos consultants will be in touch.

The purpose behind it is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the building and assess their condition.

Following completion of your management survey, you will be provided with a report detailing the location and properties of any asbestos found within the building.

You may then choose whether to encapsulate any ACMs found or have them removed. If you choose to have it encapsulated, you wil require an annual Re-inspection survey. As part of your Duty to Manage, the re-inspection survey monitors the condition of the ACMs identified in your original survey.

Our Asbestos Surveyors will:

  • Carry out a Management Survey of your premises.
  • Record the locations of any asbestos materials in a written report.
  • Help you prepare an Asbestos Management Plan designed for your building.
  • Contact you to update the Asbestos register ensuring you remain compliant.

For more information about our range of consultancy services contact us today and one of our asbestos consultants will be in touch.

Asbestos in Buildings

Below are key points you really need to know regarding Asbestos in Buildings:

  • Asbestos only becomes a problem once it’s disturbed and the fibres airborne.
  • Any building built prior to year 2000 can contain asbestos.
  • Non-domestic buildings must have an asbestos survey report and register. Asbestos materials identified in the building must be managed and the register updated regularly.
  • Preventing exposure to asbestos dust will protect against related illness and fatal diseases
