Asbestos Testing

Bradley Environmental offer asbestos testing for both single, one-off samples, right through to complete survey sample analysis.

Our in-house UKAS accredited laboratories enable us to provide you with a rapid turnaround of results, whilst ensuring that accuracy is not compromised.

Should you wish to send a suspected asbestos sample into us for analysis;

  • Dampen the sample before disturbing it
  • Break off a thumbnail sized piece
  • Double bag in clear polythene bags (freezer bags are fine)
  • Clearly label with your name, address and where the sample was taken from
  • Clearly mark the envelope you send your sample in “Laboratory Sample, Could Contain Asbestos”

Bradley Environmental operate 3 regional laboratories; these include Birmingham, Wakefield and St. Asaph (N. Wales).

If you have a number of samples you wish to be analysed, please contact us to discuss the options available.

In addition to our testing services, we can also come out to you and take suspected asbestos samples on your behalf.

Why is UKAS accreditation important?

UKAS accreditation is intended as a means by which the layperson can be reassured that a laboratory can offer high-quality services.

The laboratory’s procedures and practices are assessed to ensure that they meet the criteria laid down in European Standards.

Since 2004 regulation requires that persons using a laboratory for the analysis of samples for asbestos use one accredited to ISO17025, and our UKAS accreditation ensures your legal requirements are met.
