P407 Managing Asbestos in Premises

The aim of this P407 course is to provide the practical knowledge and the skills to be able to manage asbestos in premises.
The course will provide a basic knowledge of asbestos management plans, policies and procedures, their implementation and checks on effectiveness.
Candidates for this course will already hold either the P405 or alternatively the CCP (Asbestos).

- Use of Asbestos, Types and Characteristics
- Management of Asbestos in Premises
- Controlling Work on the Fabric of the Building or Services
The candidates are expected to have a good knowledge and understanding of HSG227 "A comprehensive guide to managing asbestos in premises"

The course also has a report requirement to submit either a management plan or a critical review of a management plan.
