We are excited to announce that as a result of our continued success of our teams nationally, we are currently expanding our team in Blackpool and are looking to recruit a part time P401 Qualified Asbestos Bulk Analyst for our Laboratory.

Due to our growing national client portfolio of Partners, Bradley Environmental Consultants are looking for enthusiastic and loyal individuals to join our Technical Team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake bulk analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials using polarised light microscopy in line with ISO 17025 accreditation. The role also entails receiving samples from site, the preparation of samples for analysis, the recording of analytical findings on TEAMS and the issuance of results internally and externally. In addition the role will require the maintenance of the quality system in line UKAS requirements, the calibration of equipment, liaison with technical teams across the business and providing an aftersales service for clients.

The role will also involve data input, keeping spreadsheets up to date, client and tenant liaison, quoting for works, booking appointments into surveyors online diaries, assisting the technical management team were necessary and dealing with incoming calls.

Person Specification

  • The candidate(s) must hold a BOHS P401 (or equivalent)
  • Possess 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Have demonstrable Asbestos Laboratory experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The candidate must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel experience and be able to adapt to specific online systems
  • Experience of the TEAMS Asbestos Management System an advantage but not essential
  • The candidate must possess demonstrable organisational and time management skills, be able to self-manage, be an excellent communicator with people at all levels and be experienced in delivering excellent customer service

What We Can Offer You

The hours of work are 20 per week Monday to Friday (some flexibilty of 4 hour shift times is available)

  • An hourly rate from £12.92 per hour to £13.35 per hour per depending on experience.
  • Company paid healthcare (long service award applies at 3 and 5 years)
