We are excited to announce that as a result of the continued support we have been offering to key clients during the Covid-19 pandemic and the continued success of our teams nationally, we are expanding our team in West Yorkshire and are looking to recruit a P401 Qualified Asbestos Bulk Analyst and Technical Support for our Laboratory. Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake bulk analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials using polarised light microscopy in line with ISO 17025 accreditation. The role also entails receiving samples from site, the preparation of samples for analysis, the recording of analytical findings on TEAMS and the issuance of results internally and externally. In addition the role will require the maintenance of the quality system in line UKAS requirements, the calibration of equipment, liaison with technical teams across the business and providing an aftersales service for clients.

The role will also involve data input, keeping spreadsheets up to date, client and tenant liaison, quoting for works, booking appointments into surveyors online diaries, assisting the technical management team were necessary and dealing with incoming calls.

Person Specification

  • BOHS P401 (or equivalent)
  • Possess 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Have demonstrable Asbestos Laboratory experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The candidate must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel experience and be able to adapt to specific online systems
  • Experience of TEAMS an advantage but not essential
  • The candidate must possess demonstrable organisational and time management skills, be able to self-manage, be an excellent communicator with people at all levels and be experienced in delivering excellent customer service

  • A salary between £23,400.00 and £24,570.00 per annum depending on experience
