As a result of an increased workload and ambition to further build and strengthen the Occupational/ Industrial Hygiene team within the business, we are looking for an ambitious, quick to learn, intelligent individual to undertake the role of a Operational Support team member, to join our team based in our Halesowen office.

Roles and Responsibilities
The position will require the successful candidate to work with our team of Occupationa/ Industriall Hygienists administering both planned and reactive works. The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with client enquiries for the various services offered by the team. Liaising with the technical team to gather information from clients to enable quotations to be prepared and delivered in response to client enquiries. Analysing quote data, to enable improvements to be made regarding the content of them and to improve the success rates of the quotes. Liaising with clients and the technical staff to book in work appointments and preparing technical information packs for the site staff relating to the jobs. Liaising with third party laboratories to order sampling media and returning samples to the laboratory for analysis and assisting with the preparation of Technical Reports. In addition to working alongside our accounts department to ensure clients are set up on our client systems and laboratories are provided with the correct Purchase Orders for work requested of them.
Person Specification
The successful candidate must also possess the following:
- A good general standard of education, with at least 5 GCSEs (grade C/ 4 or above). A science background would be an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills are essential, preferably demonstrated through recent/previous work experience
- Excellent IT skills with experience of working on a variety of software packages and must possess a proven and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver first rate customer service
- Be able to self develop, with enthusiasm and ambition to improve your own skill set and take an active role in improving systems and processes within the team and be happy to attend further training courses
- Be comfortable working alone and as part of a team, some of whom will be based in other offices
What We Can Offer You
The hours of work are 40 per week Monday to Friday from 8.00am - 4.30pm, with some flexibility on start and finish times.
- Competitive salary between £22,505.60 - £23,920.00 dependent upon skills, experience, qualifications and hours worked
