Bradley Environmental Consultants Ltd are looking for a whole new team of Asbestos Surveyors, Analysts and Consultants to work from our new office to be located within the central belt of Scotland. We will be located within the Livingston area and are looking for an experienced team to staff the office and work with the existing Bradley team to grow and develop the office eventually to offer the full range of services currently offered by the company.

We have a number of positions to be filled, including:

• Ideally we are looking for someone to fulfil the role of Technical Manager to manage the office, develop the team and undertake site work as and when required to keep clients happy. This position requires someone with at least three years’ experience as a senior surveyor/consultant. The candidate would be expected to hold the CCP (Asbestos) qualification and have proven experience of managing and training team members and having excellent customer facing skills. This is an ideal opportunity for a person who wants to develop their management and consultancy skills. Support to the role will be provided from the existing Bradley management team, to assist with staff training, quality control requirements, report checking, diary management and sales and marketing activities for the office.

• In addition to the above role we are looking for qualified and experienced Asbestos surveyors and analysts. Candidates must hold BOHS P402, P403 & P404 certificates as a minimum and have at least two years’ experience within a similar role. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition surveys for a range of clients and be responsible for airborne fibre sampling, fibre counting, undertaking four stage clearance inspection, clearance air testing and reassurance, background, leak and personal monitoring.

The successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate relevant experience as well as the following:

• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety procedures in relation to asbestos
• Excellent client liaison skills and/ or the ability to manage contractors
• Accurate report writing skills
• Ability to work within the team and under own initiative
• Project management or remediation experience would be an advantage
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Full driving licence
• IT literate (experience of TEAMs would be an advantage but not essential as full training shall be given).


• We are also looking for a trainee surveyor/analyst to grow and develop with the team, this candidate should hold a full British driving license, be able to demonstrate at least 2 years work experience and hold at least 5 National 5 (N5) Qualifications. The candidate will be trained to undertake the full range of surveys, sampling and site analytical duties and will sit the BOHS P402, P403 & P404 certificates. The trainee salary starts at £17,665.00 per annum rising to £19,000.00 per annum once qualified and authorised. Salary will be reviewed as further authorisations are gained.

The successful candidate(s) will also be given the opportunity to undertake further BOHS (or equivalent) qualifications and the opportunity to develop within the role and within the company.
