Our five regional offices provide UKAS-accredited and HSG 264 compliant Asbestos Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Surveys. We also undertake Re-inspections of current asbestos surveys and registers as part of our ongoing asbestos management services.

Undertaking an asbestos survey is a key stage in managing your asbestos. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulation 4 “Duty to Manage Asbestos” requires the duty holder (owner/occupier of the property) to find out whether your commercial premises contain asbestos, assess the risk, and develop a plan to manage that risk and act on it. Failure to comply could result in prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Local Authority (EHO).
We are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to ISO 17020 for all types of asbestos surveys and inspections. Our five in-house asbestos testing laboratories are accredited by UKAS to ISO 17025 for the analysis of samples, for both single, one-off samples, right through to complete survey sample analysis. Our in-house laboratory provides you with a rapid turnaround of results, usually within 48 hours of samples being received.
The main purpose of the asbestos survey is to identify the location, type, condition and extent of any ACMs present. The survey must be in accordance with HSE guidance note HSG264.
