facefit imageWith the Government recently allowing more of the UK’s workforce to return to their place of employment, one vital aspect is knowing how to protect your staff when at work.

The provision of correctly fitted RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) Face Masks has never been more important!

Correctly fitted RPE Face Masks is increasingly seen as an effective way to protect your staff and customers from Covid-19 transmission, especially if your business is in a medium to high risk category such as care providers, dentists and retail, but also applies to any business sector where social distancing may not be realistic and viable.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is advising all businesses currently using RPE on the importance of ensuring it is fitted correctly. If a RPE is incorrectly fitted, it will not provide your staff with protection.

Bradley Environmental is here to help you get back to work safely. We provide qualitative face fit testing for all types of businesses.

Face Fit Testing at your Premises for Groups

Bradley Environmental have a team of expert Face Fit Testers who are also able to carry out Qualitative Face Fit Testing at your premises. Sessions cost from £275.00. Contact us for a quote using the contact us box below.

What does the Face Fit Test involve?

Each test lasts for approximately 30 minutes and is carried out in two stages:

  • A sensitivity test confirming that the wearer can detect (taste) the test agent.
  • The fit test itself where the tester sprays the test agent into the hood at intervals whilst the wearer is carrying out a series of movement exercises designed to simulate motion expected in the workplace (e.g. moving head side to side, up and down, and talking out loud). If the wearer can detect (via taste) the test agent at any time this indicates the mask’s seal is being breached and the test is recorded as a “fail”.

Please note – The above services are only available to customers who already have their own face mask. Qualitative Face Fit Testing is suitable for disposable (types FFP1, FFP2 or FFP3) and re-usable half masks with filters.
