The health, safety and wellbeing of our teams, our clients and our client’s employees and buildings, remain our number one priority during the global pandemic of COVID-19.

Following the announcement on Monday from the Prime Minister, detailing the National Lockdown for for England, Wales and Scotland, we want to reassure all of our clients that our Core Compliance Services and the delivery of essential Training Courses are still fully operational.

This includes our Asbestos Compliance, Legionella Management, Workplace Health and Safety Consultancy, Occupational Hygiene and Training services.

School kidsFor most schools and colleges, the key remaining risk is the potential disturbance of asbestos during maintenance or construction works.

There are specific actions that you must take where work is carried out on the premises, which might disturb asbestos materials, including upgrading, refurbishment or demolition. This includes any work that disturbs the fabric of your building, whether it is small-scale repair work carried out by your own staff or a large-scale project that is being contracted out.

Legionella and Water Hygeine Risk AssessmentsWater hygiene experts warn that Legionella bacteria may pose a danger to people returning to their places of work. As COVID19 lockdown restrictions continue to lift in many parts of the country, people are tiptoeing back into everyday life. But people heading back to their places of work may face a new danger hidden within the buildings water systems.

Bradley Environmental are warning employers that a prolonged period of inactivity in buildings could spur the growth of Legionella. When water systems shut down, water becomes stagnant and chlorine and other disinfectants dissipate. When water isn’t in regular use, its temperature can range between 20 - 45 °C, which is an ideal breeding condition for bacteria.

We're able to help with both general and Covid-19 specific risk assessments for your workplace, providing all the advice necessary for a safe return to work for your employees.

facefit imageWith the Government recently allowing more of the UK’s workforce to return to their place of employment, one vital aspect is knowing how to protect your staff when at work.

The provision of correctly fitted RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) Face Masks has never been more important!

Correctly fitted RPE Face Masks is increasingly seen as an effective way to protect your staff and customers from Covid-19 transmission, especially if your business is in a medium to high risk category such as care providers, dentists and retail, but also applies to any business sector where social distancing may not be realistic and viable.
