Asbestos Management Plan

Once asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) have been identified, an asbestos management plan will be required.

An asbestos management plan will:

• Outline how you intend to manage the risks posed by the ACMs located in the survey;
• Identify who is responsible for managing asbestos;
• Incorporate the asbestos register from your survey;
• Notify people about your decisions.

A management plan is specifically required under Regulation 4 (Duty to Manage) of CAR2006.
