A vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Technical Manager at our St Asaph office.
Reporting to the Commercial Director and supported by our head office in the West Midlands, the role involves the operational management of a small team of asbestos site analysts, surveyors, laboratory analysts and administrators. In addition, the role requires proactive development of the existing team in including auditing, training and performance management.
Commercial acumen is a must along with the drive and ambition to grow sales in line with set targets. The role also requires a consultant who can develop relationships with existing and new clients, ensure the maintenance of UKAS and ISO standards and manage projects and clients.
Previous experience of asbestos consultancy within a UKAS accredited company, project management and site work is essential along with the appropriate BOHS “P” certificates for site work (P402, P403 and P404) or equivalent.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will hold W504/S301 or will go on to obtain the qualifications and will be developed to achieve COCA status.
The successful candidate should have people management experience and first rate training skills. A good working knowledge of TEAMs (or similar), a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and experience of a range of Microsoft packages is also essential, as is a full driving licence.
Salary is negotiable between £28,187 - £30,750 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) plus company car, a company paid health and wellbeing plan (long service award applies) and 22 days’ holiday/ 8 statutory bank holidays (long service award applies) and company pension.
