Becky, our Report Production Officer from the Halesowen office, has set an inspiring goal for herself this September: she’s taking on the Great North Run! Joining 60,000 runners along the 13.1-mile course from Newcastle to South Shields, Becky is tackling this half marathon to raise funds for Kidney Care UK.

This charity holds a special place in her heart, as they played a crucial role in supporting Becky and her family in caring for her father.

Kidney Care UK, founded in 1975 has been the forefront of supporting people affected by kidney disease for over 45 years, and is the UK’s leading kidney patient support charity, providing practical, emotional and financial support to more than 100 patients and their families every week.

“Every step I make and every penny I raise will be helping Kidney Care UK be there for people affected by kidney disease. Currently, over 3.5 million people are diagnosed with kidney disease, with 68,000 of these in kidney failure and 30,000 receiving dialysis treatment”.

Becky is participating in the Great North Run in memory of her dad who lost his battle with kidney disease at 59 years old.

Every donation can make a difference, and we are asking everyone who is able to, to support Becky and Kidney Care UK: https://ajbellgreatnorthrun2024.enthuse.com/pf/rebecca-stokes
