Legionella Awareness Training
Our Legionella awareness course will provide delegates with an introduction to Legionella bacteria and Legionnaires disease within the built environment. It will also provide necessary information on safe water system management and maintenance to ensure control measures and monitoring practices are correctly implemented to achieve compliance with the requirements of the HSE ACoP The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
Who is it for?
Our Legionella awareness course is for persons who need an appreciation of Legionella to help prevent or control risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria. It is for persons who need to implement and monitor precautions and keep appropriate records.

Who should attend?
Duty holders, building and site management and maintenance personnel whose roles and responsibility it is to manage, supervise or carry out routine maintenance tasks which ensure safe storage and usage of water systems, as well as ensuring correct recording of all tasks/actions in site log book format.

- An understanding of the legislation and the approved codes of practice
- Main risk areas and risk assessments
- Water system monitoring
- An understanding of how to control the risks of Legionella bacteria

- Multiple choice question paper
Certification
All delegates passing the multiple choice question paper will receive a Legionella Awareness Training Course certificate.
