We are excited to announce that due to our continued expansion and success throughout the central belt of Scotland we are looking to add an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced P401 Qualified Asbestos Laboratory Analyst to our current technical team.

Consultancy sectors we work for include, Local Authorities, Government Departments, The NHS, Retail, Educational Establishments, Major Construction Companies and Housing Associations.

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis of bulk samples in line with ISO 17025 accreditation and the reporting of results both internally and externally. In addition, the role will require working in conjunction with the Technical Manager, in the form of project scheduling and organisational/operational support.

Person Specification

The successful candidate must also possess the following:

  • BOHS P401 is essential
  • Minimum of 6 months experience of working in a UKAS accredited Laboratory as a qualified analyst
  • The candidate should be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Experience working with TEAMS is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • The candidate must possess good attention to detail, communication skills (both written and verbally) with the ability to manage and organise their own workload effectively
  • To work to the company’s established quality and safety procedures strictly at all times
  • Maintain continued professional development with training and audits

What We Can Offer You

  • A competitive 40 hours full time annual salary starting from £26,873.60 (£12.92 per hour) to £27,768.00 (£13.35 per hour) based on industry experience and qualifications (pro rata for part time hours)
