Qualified Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts - Wakefield

Due to an increasing workload have vacancies for qualified Asbestos Surveyors and Asbestos Analysts for our Wakefield office.

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition surveys for a range of clients and / or be responsible for airborne fibre sampling, fibre counting, undertaking four stage clearance inspection, clearance air testing and reassurance, background, leak and personal monitoring.

Person Specification

The candidate(s) will hold as a minimum BOHS P402 (or equivalent) or BOHS P403 and P404 (or equivalent) and possess the following:

    Demonstrate industry experience in asbestos surveying and/ or air monitoring
    An excellent understanding of Health and Safety procedures in relation to asbestos
    Excellent client liaison skills and/ or the ability to manage contractors
    Accurate report writing skills
    Ability to work within the team and under own initiative
    Project management or remediation experience would be an advantage
    Flexible approach to working hours
    Full driving licence
    IT literate (experience of TEAMs would be an advantage but not essential as full training shall be given).

What We Can Offer You

Salary is negotiable between £19,000 - £29,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualification. In addition overtime is paid at £20 per hour at weekends for site and travel time. Other benefits include a company vehicle, company paid healthcare (long service award applies), company pension into which the company contributes 2% of qualifying earnings, 22 days holiday (long service award applies) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.

The successful candidate(s) will also be given the opportunity to undertake further BOHS (or equivalent) qualifications and the opportunity to develop within the role and within the company.
