P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst - Halesowen

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to recruit a qualified Laboratory Analyst.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role involvles undertaking bulk analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials, the use of polarised light microscopy in line ISO 17024, reporting of analytical findings, participation in RICE and AIMS schemes and associated adminstration and quality compliance.

Person Specification

The successful candidate must also possess the following:

  • Hold a P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples certificate
  • Previous UKAS accredited laboratory experience
  • A good general standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Be IT literate (use of TEAMs would be an advantage).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver first rate customer service.

The successful candidate will also be client focussed, have some administrative experience and be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

What We Can Offer You

The contracted hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. 

In addition, the successful candidate will receive company paid healthcare (long service award applies), company pension into which the company contribute 2% of qualifying earnings, 22 days holiday (long service award applies) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
