Meet Lewis, a Lab Analyst and Technical Support staff member from our office in North Wales. Lewis started with us last September so we asked him some questions about working for Bradleys and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.
Tell us a little bit about your current job role at Bradleys?
I support the technical team at the North Wales office and I have just qualified as a Lab Analyst where I study samples that may potentially contain asbestos.
How are you finding working at Bradleys?
It is an enthusiastic environment and I enjoy working with all of my colleagues. Learning more about the history of asbestos and understanding the commercial and domestic use of it is also really interesting.
Can you give us an example of one of your most memorable pieces of work?
When I was in the lab studying samples I came across a rare bitumen sample. Chrysotile is commonly found in bitumen, however I also found Amosite. A sample like this containing two types of asbestos is rare.
How was the recruitment process? Would you recommend the company to others?
Yes, I would definitely recommend the company to others and I would encourage potential candidates to apply. The company is very friendly and offers a very smooth recruitment process. I’m really grateful I have been hired by Bradleys and I have learnt so much already.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I used to be a University Student and Army Reservist. I studied Biological Science and left University with a passion for Science but also a passion for the outdoors. I go camping regularly, regardless of the weather and I like to keep up with my health by working out and training with friends. Guess you can say I’m an outdoor enthusiast!
